My mission is to provide high quality legal services with integrity, professionalism and respect for our clients and the community at large. It is our desire to assist individuals and groups in resolving conflict with the highest standards. We strive to supply council and input which will help groups resolve issues, if possible, short of litigation. It continues to be our personal goal to seek and provide wisdom to every client to enable them to make decisions which affect the direction of their lives.

I have practiced for 24 years in the areas of law, divorce, child support & custody, victims of spousal abuse, traffic, civil matters, and personal injury. I represent individuals, families, and corporations in Disitrict, Superior, Tribal and Federal Court in both judge & jury trials. I am licensed to practice law in both the states of North Carolina and Florida. I am also licensed to practice before the US Supreme Court, US Court of Appeals, in the 4th and 11th Districts and the Federal District Court in NC and FL.

Before becoming an attorney, I was a pastor and a social worker. As a social worker, I represented Child Protective Services in juvenille court. I am a graduate of Montreat College, Florida State University and O.W. Coburn School of Law.

As a litigation attorney, I am experienced in many areas of law which are heard in our Courts. District Courts is the people's court and the venue in which most citizens will find themselves in legal matters. District Court hears cases concerning criminal and civil matters, family law and traffic violations. My time spent as a pastor and a social worker gives me valuable insight into people's difficult situations.

Currently I am serving as President of the Macon County Humane Society. I have been married to the love of my life, Katharine, for 40 years now and we have three grown children & five dogs.
